Our Uniteen program is located in the classroom downstairs from the sanctuary in the main church
building. Uniteens is our program for adolescents in sixth, seventh, and eighth
grade*.
This program focuses on building trust among all of the participants in order to create a loving
environment in which each preteen feels safe to explore their spiritual questions and beliefs. We
do this through the following experiences::
- Spiritual Education – On Sundays, Uniteens meet to explore Truth and its application in their
lives through a meaningful spiritual lesson. Sacred Circle, the Bible and other Sacred Scripture, prayer,
meditation, activities and other related media all serve to explore the Sunday lesson. Music is also a big
part of our Sunday experience.
- Social and Service Gatherings – The events and activities outside of regular Sunday meetings help
bond the group and provide opportunities to practice and apply spiritual principles to daily life.
- Regional Retreats – The Southeast Unity Region of the Association of Unity Churches provides
overnight retreats for preteens twice a year in Camp Weed, FL. The purpose of the retreats is to provide
opportunities away from home for spiritual growth, spiritual exploration, and application of Unity Principles
in a safe, supportive setting with other Uniteens in the southeast region.
