Morgan Patterson

Morgan Patterson has been involved with Unity since the 80's but became more consistent in attendance in 1991. Morgan says that Unity gave
her practical ways to move her spiritual beliefs from her heart into to her everyday life. Morgan decided to become a board member when she
realized that serving on the board would expand her practices of Unity principles. Each meeting allows her for more growth and offers her
amazing ways to serve the Unity Eastside community and mankind itself. Morgan’s husband Gregg, grandson Tyler and granddaughter Sophia all
attend regularly and she feels blessed to have such a vibrant and loving church.

Yvonne Powell

Yvonne Powell was invited to Unity Eastside by close friends over eight years ago. She soon learned that she liked the teachings of
Unity and she uses them to balance her everyday life. She has also found that she has gained confidence in herself and has become more
open. She loves this church because the people are very open and welcoming. She welcomed the opportunity to serve on the board when she
was asked to be a leader, and she is grateful for the knowledge she is now learning in operating the organization. Yvonne believes that
"everything is in order."

Mike Smith

Mike Smith started attending Unity Eastside when he was looking for a new fork in his life’s roadmap about six years ago. Mike had
actually been professionally involved in the conversion and remodeling of Unity Eastside’s current building before he started attending
services. Both the previous owner of the property, and the remodeling contractor were clients of Mike’s. So, knowing of the existence,
Mike followed his path to attend church one Sunday and he hasn’t looked back since then. Being a musician, Mike says that the music was
the first draw to the church for him, but he now considers the church people his spiritual family. The opportunity to serve the church
in a leadership role, to help preserve Unity traditions and to shape the future of this community led Mike to serve on the board. Mike
also leads a drumming circle at Unity Eastside every third Friday of the month.
Mike Smith hosts a radio program! "Anything Local" on Sunday Nights from 8-9pm Hank 99.9 fm or http://www.999hank.fm/ Sponsored by: Parker Services Heating & Air

Vicki McManus

Vicki McManus was drawn to Unity teachings through a business in Tampa in 2007. She resonated with the positive message of Unity and the power
of love and acceptance there. When she moved to the Tallahassee area, she looked for a Unity church and found Unity Eastside. When she entered the
sanctuary and met the congregants, she knew she had found her church home, and has been actively involved in the church since late 2008. Vicki leads
the Welcome team with James Cooper, her amazing fiancé (who she met at Unity), and is active with the grounds keeping and landscaping teams. She
joined the Board as another way to give back to the church, and is grateful for the friends she has made there, and for the opportunity to serve
the world through Unity.
Her favorite quote: Step to the edge of the light you can see, and you will see further from there.

James Cooper

In the 38 years I have been in Unity, I have lived in 6 states and attended 9 Unity churches. I was a member of Unity of Tallahassee for 17
years before joining Unity Eastside in 2009. In Tallahassee, I am a soil scientist with the Florida Dept of Agriculture and a private consultant.
At Unity Eastside I am the leader of the garden ministry, leader of the fire keepers, first keeper of the labyrinth and defender of the faith. The
Welcome Team is integral in setting the energy on Sunday mornings as they welcome both members and visitors. The Welcome Team is often the first
introduction and impression that visitors receive of our church and the Unity way. I believe that our beautiful grounds coupled with the radiating
spiritual energy that flows from us makes it just a little easier for seekers to find us and take that chance by making that long ride up our
driveway to check us out. URAH

Angel Eason

My journey with Unity started when I fell in love with the music one Sunday during a meeting for the Course in Miracle in the Tampa Unity.
Ever since, Unity has provided me with the support I need through my spiritual journey, and through the many schools I've attended. No matter
where I lived, Unity was there for me through my ups and downs in this amazing journey. I taught Sunday school for a couple of years, and have
been a choir member for several years. The music at all the churches I've attended is always uplifting and heart felt, performed by musicians
with heart and passion. Being a board member is my way of showing my gratitude to Unity for all the years of support it has provided me during
some of the most difficult parts of my journey.

Shannon Caldwell

Shannon Caldwell started attending Unity Eastside with her husband James and children in August of 2003. At that time, although she loved being a stay-at-home mom, she also craved something to fill her spirit. Rev. Jean and U.E.’s spiritual community helped her find what she needed. In 2004, because of her retail background, she became U.E.’s bookstore manager and she loved it. This volunteer position made her feel like she was contributing to her community, and it gave her a little “adult” time out of the house. It is also what helped her cope with the stress she felt due to her husband and her close friend enduring cancer treatments. Soon, she was “called” to work as the church administrator. This position prepared her to be able to do what she’s doing today. She and James happily now own and operate two successful small businesses, American Karate Studios, and The Canopy of Technology, Inc. She is grateful for U.E.’s community and Reverend Jean for supporting her family on their many adventures.
Shannon continues to run the Higher Ground bookstore, now with her assistant and volunteer coordinator, Patty Herrington. She and James also built and maintain Unity Eastside’s website and Shannon serves as a supportive role in helping Rev. Jean teach spiritual classes at Dorothy B. Oven Park.
